What we do, what we don’t, and what we ask of you.

Blocking and reporting are instant, unconditional and free. There is no waiting period, no cooldown, and no penalty, ever. It ends the lock on the spot. Nothing about making a report counts against you, now or later.

The lock never traps you

SWU’s central rule limits who you can match with. It has never limited your ability to get away from someone. Every other way out of a month has a condition attached to it: a floor, a cooldown, an agreement. The safety exit has none, by design, and it never will.

Once you block someone they cannot see you, contact you, or find you in the deck again.

What we do

Every report reaches a human. Reports land in a moderation queue that is reviewed, not auto-closed.
We can read a reported conversation. That is the only circumstance in which anyone at SWU looks at your messages, and it exists so that reports can be acted on rather than guessed at.
We remove accounts. Harassment, threats, deception about who you are, another person’s photos, or anything illegal ends an account, without notice where safety requires it.
We never show your phone number to another user, and we never show your exact location, only an approximate distance.

What we don’t do

We do not run criminal background checks on our users, and we can’t verify that someone is who they say they are. No dating app can, and any that implies otherwise is selling you a feeling rather than a fact. Please read the next section as though nobody has been vetted, because nobody has.

Meeting someone

Meet in public the first time, and arrange your own way there and back.
Tell a friend where you’re going and when you expect to be home.
Keep the conversation in the app until you’re comfortable moving it.
Don’t send money to someone you have not met. Nobody who has just matched with you has a genuine emergency that requires your bank details.
Trust the feeling that something is off. Leaving costs you nothing.

Thirty days is not an obligation to anyone

The month is a commitment to give something a fair try, not a commitment to tolerate being treated badly. If someone is unpleasant, pushy, or frightening, the answer is not to wait out the clock. Block them and it ends immediately, at no cost to you.
