These terms are the agreement between you and SWU. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use SWU.
You must be 18 or older, and you must be legally able to enter a contract. One person, one account, one phone number. You may not use SWU if we have previously removed you.
Program: SWU sign-in verification. SWU sends a one-time verification code by SMS to the mobile number you enter on the sign-in screen, so that we can confirm the number is yours and sign you in.
Consent: you opt in inside the app by entering your own mobile number and ticking a consent box that is unticked by default. The Send code button does nothing until you tick it. There is no other way to receive messages from us, and no way to subscribe to any other kind.
Message frequency: one message per sign-in attempt. Message frequency varies; most people receive a message only when they set up a new device.
Cost: SWU does not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving
them. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing after it. Because the
verification code is how signing in works, opting out means you will no longer be able to
sign in to SWU.
Carriers: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility: these messages are sent only to people aged 18 or over who are creating or accessing their own SWU account.
Privacy: no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why. A step-by-step description of the opt-in flow, with the exact consent wording, is published on our SMS terms page.
SWU's central rule is that a match is exclusive for a fixed period. In plain terms:
These periods are enforced by our systems and may be changed for future matches. Any change we make will not extend a lock you have already entered.
SWU is free to use, and nothing in it can be bought right now. If we add paid features later, prices will be shown in the app before you buy, purchases will go through your app store, and that store's refund rules will apply.
Your photos and words stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them inside SWU so the app can function. You confirm you have the right to everything you upload, and that it is of you.
SWU has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not harass, threaten, deceive, or endanger anyone. Do not post sexual, hateful, or violent content. Do not impersonate another person or upload another person's photos. Never post sexual content involving minors or anything illegal. Do not use SWU for commercial solicitation.
You can report or block anyone from their profile or your chat, at any time. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours, by removing the content and removing the account that posted it where the report is upheld. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice where safety requires it.
We do not run criminal background checks on our users. Take the ordinary precautions you would with anyone you meet online: meet in public, tell someone where you are, and trust your instincts. Report anyone who worries you. It costs you nothing and never affects your standing.
You may delete your account at any time in the app under You → Settings. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms.
SWU is provided as is. We do not promise that you will meet anyone, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms; we will change the date above and tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York have exclusive jurisdiction.
